All Aboard the Recorder Express
This clinic features a multitude of tips and techniques
to help your students become confident music readers via
the recorder. The games and activities are very fun for
students, while reinforcing basic music skills. These

The Thrill of the Drill (Theory that's
Fun!)
Lead your students to music literacy with these
activities and games that address the basics of rhythmic
understanding. Session includes introductory, review and
assessment strategies for a variety of levels.
Can You Hear Me Now?
A collection of exciting experiences to activate
children's listening via movement, flashlight painting,
parachute play, ribbon dance, super stretchy and more!
Concepts addressed include steady beat, rhythm, form,
expressive qualities and style. Music includes the
William Tell Overture, Offenbach's Can Can, Kodaly's
Viennese Clock and more.
Mallet Madness
An exciting mallet rotation experience that reinforces
mallet technique as well as musical learnings in the
areas of rhythm, melody, timbre and form. Mallet Madness
offers your students the opportunity to explore the
entire instrumentarium while focusing on the building
blocks of music. Songs, games, and movement experiences
are included.
Concept Collage
This fast-past session includes many kindergarten
through sixth grade, field-tested ideas for illuminating
the building blocks of music. Voices, mallet percussion
instruments, non-pitched rhythm instruments, recorders
and movement are the avenues to learning in this very
activeclinic.
Artie's Idea Bank: 100 Great Ideas for
Your Classroom
This informative clinic (half or full day) features a
wealth of Artie's teaching visuals, manipulatives,
bulletin board ideas, poster games, bag games, centers,
lessons and more. These child-approved materials will
greatly enhance your classroom teaching in the following
concept areas: melody, harmony, rhythm, form,
vocabulary, timbre, guided listening, and more. Artie
will demonstrate the materials via teacher
participation, then attendees have time to circulate
through the resource displays.
