Mallet Madness

A collection of engaging units for
using mallet instruments in the music classroom.
Exciting collection of activities for mallet percussion
instruments that will energize your classroom and
promote learning in the concept areas of beat, rhythm,
melody, harmony, form, and expressive qualities through
the use of songs, poems, music-to-literature
connections, and reproducible flashcards. Thanks to its
unique rotation system, your students will play all the
mallet percussion instruments in your classroom as well
as many of the non-pitched instruments. Suggestions for
adapting the activities for use in classrooms with few
or even no mallet instruments are also given.
Whether presented as a unit or spread over a semester or

Recorder Express Method Book

Get on the fast track to reading music and becoming an
excellent recorder player! Material is developmentally
appropriate and very well-sequenced for young students.
Soprano recorder method is for classroom or individual
use. Includes over 120 exercises and melodies (folk,
pop, and original songs), as well as technique tips and
beginning music theory. Familiar songs have the words
included (sometimes more than 1 verse is given).
Vocabulary, theory, rhythm, or technique concepts, as
well as new notes, are highlighted in train car pictures
(the Vocabulary Express, for example). Helpful tips and
questions about the music are given throughout the book.
A "Superstar Express" challenge page is included at the
end of the book. Each piece shows the correct track to
use on the CD (when applicable), and how many measures
of introduction are used for each accompaniment. The CD
is available separately.
Recorder Express CD
Your Recorder Express CD has 99 tracks! Most tracks are
accompaniment only, but some feature a professional
recorder player so that students can strive to match her
beautiful tone and musicality.
Recorder Fingering Flash Cards
This is a terrific new teaching aid for use with soprano
or tenor recorders. The set comes with 25 cards that
illustrate the chromatic scale from C1 up to C3, using
Baroque (English) fingering. Each card shows a fingering
diagram on the front and the corresponding note name on
the back. The cards are 4.25" x 11" and printed on
heavy-duty Astrobrights paper - ideal for laminating.
The Recorder Fingering Flash Cards set includes an
instruction card with ideas for drills and games.
The Ultimate Game and Activity Pack
for Orchestra

A fantastic collection with 4 unique ways to help teach
your students about the orchestra: Orchestra Flash
Cards, to teach and reinforce a variety of terms;
Orchestra Concentration game based on the terms learned
with the flash cards; Instrument Families of the
Orchestra game to incorporate listening to and
identifying specific instruments; and Clip the

definition and a longer detailed explanation on the
other side. Terms covered: Brass Family, Percussion

Orchestra Concentration: twenty 8.5" x 11" cards have

Rhythm and Melody Baseball

These fantastic new games will enable students to
quickly master music basics in a fun and effective
manner. Based on the rules of traditional baseball, each
game includes teacher's directions and a set of 40
flashcards organized by level of difficulty - singles
(easiest), doubles, triples, and home runs (most
difficult). Use this creative and imaginative series to

Wile E. Coyote's Whammo! - Assessment
Game

In this new team game, students review their knowledge
of music symbols and rhythm patterns. The players use
inflatable hammers to tap the correct symbol or rhythm
as quickly as possible when the teacher reads the clue.

basic music vocabulary terms with this versatile
manipulative kit, designed to be fun, child-friendly,
and effective in promoting competency in the elements of
musical understanding while reinforcing the National
Music Standards. Sneaky Snake aligns with National
Standard #5 (reading and notating music); it has music
vocabulary identification activities. Includes 30 green
cardstock activity boards, each 8.5" x 11" size and
printed on both sides. The front side shows Sneaky Snake
with 12 music symbols printed in a circle along his
body. The back side gives the name of each symbol shown
on the front. Each board is punched with holes, so that
a student can put a pencil through the hole
